Our next stop was Ponce on the Caribbean coast. While our friends Rick and Michela went to search out Gilligan's Island, Miryam and Tobias spent the day at the hotel enjoying the beach and the sun. It was a very relaxing day of reading and chatting, all the way through the picture-perfect sunset (when the mosquitoes descended on us like flies on carrion!). Between the picturesque downtown and our time at the hotel, Ponce far exceeded our expectations.
