We had a fabulous time visiting
Glacier National Park, hiking some trails, driving the amazing
Going-to-the-Sun Road, and staying at the
Lake McDonald Lodge (see the pictured taxidermy in the lobby of this wood framed masterpiece of a hotel). Apparently the forecast for the disappearance of the last glacier in the park has just been adjusted from 2030 to 2020 but, the park ranger confirmed, she still gets people who say that the accelerated pace of glacier melt is purely a natural phenomenon. We highly recommend visiting this out-of-the-way park, it was spectacular!

We went to Glacier National Park at the start of our US cross country road trip! It was beautiful!
