We attended the annual
FSH charity dinner/auction in Seattle for the second year in a row. One of Miryam's colleagues has a son with this disease and has been instrumental in setting up a charity to raise money for research. In the end we did not purchase as many things as we did last year when we got a
weekend at a cabin on the Washougal River. Still, we're looking forward to our winery tour and attending concerts of the
Seattle Baroque Orchestra. The top photo shows us with one of the items that we donated for the auction, a mudcloth that we bought in Accra in early 2008. We also donated a large bucket of Miryam's patented sangria as part of a package that included hors d'ouerves from
Kaspar's and a room at
Canlis Glass.
