While booking a trip, Tobias saw a roundtrip fare of about $200 on
KLM broken into two ~$100 pieces in each direction. He assumed that he'd be able to book a one-way ticket on KLM at that price. After booking the return journey on easyJet, he found to his horror that the one-way outbound fare on KLM was more like $550. To stay on the up-and-up, he and Miryam ended up booking the original roundtrip on KLM. Luckily, Miryam thought to look for
easyJet's cancellation policy...since within the first 24 hours we were able to cancel at a small cost, we stayed up late to do so. All in all it was a €36 (about $55) lesson in double checking before pressing "Purchase"!!! And Tobias avoided the
doghouse.
