On Friday afternoon, we noticed the "Pig Roast" sign outside the new place around the corner. On Saturday morning, on our walk to brunch with Alvin and Hylee at the
Greenlake Bar & Grill, we saw the same banner on some bushes; on the way home it was still there, so we picked it up and returned it to
Greenlake Wines & Winebar. We spoke to the lady there who was thrilled to get the sign back (what kind of a welcome to the neighborhood had that been?!!) and explained that there would be an actual pigroast the following day to celebrate the grand opening. We noticed lots of cases of wine in the store. Well the following day we returned to the store where the same lady gave us three bottles of wine as thanks for our kind gesture. The stacks of wine had been decimated by visitors to the store - a great start for them. Incidentally, the roast pig was simply AMAZING, recalling
Tobias' amazing meal in Spain in late 2008.

That was really nice of her.
I've never been to a pig roast, but I hear that I'm missing out...
To quote a friend of mine who lives in Seattle and is married to a Spaniard and his name starts with T: "you are definitely not a vegetarian".
