Miryam is now 12 days into a 14 day treatment for a stomach infection which has been causing a lot of pain. She has to take four pills four times a day...a total of 224 pills!!! Two in each dose are pink Peptobismal-like tablets (the reason for the photo). The third is a rather benign-looking capsule. The last is a pill which tastes just about as nasty as anything you can imagine. Tobias has scratched the pill and then tasted, in an attempt to be sympathetic. On the other hand, he has not stopped drinking beer despite alcohol prohibitions on his wife. Miryam shudders everytime the nasty pill goes down. Eight more doses to go. You Go Girl!!!Recall that the link between H-Pylori infections and ulcers earned some scientists the 2005 Nobel Prize in Medicine.

Thank you for the pick-me-up comments, tomorrow (Monday) is the last day of the treatment. We HOPE that Tuesday will be the start of something new.
