Niñas Bonitas

The main reason for the trip to San Diego (Tobias went solo and unfortunately missed Miryam's first day back at work - you go girl!) was to see cousin Frank and his children. Sir Bias had met Josephine in Copenhagen in 2004 but had never met Emilia. Thank you Frank King Zipfer for the super-organized spreadsheet that allowed this trip to be planned.
.
We also met up with Isabelle at her office at the University of California at San Diego. This gave us a chance to walk around campus and see the Geisel Library which had a sculpture of its namesake as well as the Cat in the Hat outside. Interestingly, the Danes had never heard of Dr. Seuss...I thought that he was worldwide.
.
I left Frank & Co. in La Jolla overlooking the Pacific. What a beautiful view. Josephine, the budding cliff diver, wanted to climb down the rocks to the beach below. She has so much energy and a very thoughtful, big-sisterly air about her. Wow. We had spent a wonderful day together before the flight back to Seattle required that we part.
